Some First's...

Avery has been having a lot of "firsts" since we have been home. Her first bath at home was last Thursday and as you can see from the picture she has yet to share her sisters love for bath time. Hopefully she will like it more now that her cord stump is gone (it fell of Monday) and she can get more in the water, it is hard to splash in a sponge bath :-)
Avery met some more our her wonderful family for the first time. Great-Grandma Saunders and the Bauman's came by and of course they think she is as cute as can be!

Avery also had her first doctors appointment yesterday and her good eating status was confirmed! She already weighs 8 lbs. 13 oz. (up from 8lbs. 10 oz. at birth and 8lbs. 1oz. when leaving the hospital and 8lbs. 6oz. last Friday) and she has grown a little over 1/2in.

I have survived my first week home without Dan (although I have had a lot of help from family and friends)! I was quite impressed with my self yesterday for getting all three of us up and at Macey's school with five minutes to spare before class started! I think I might be able to handle this two kid stuff after all :-)

Macey is still doing great with Avery and has loved all of the visitors we have had. She has also loved all of the movies she has gotten to watch this week as I try to get back in the swing of things and she has come up with her first multimedia experience...she likes to listen to the Les Miserable soundtrack while she is watching a movie! What a silly girl! If I try to turn the music off she gets upset and turns it right back on, people are rally going to be confused if she starts quoting Aladdin all jumbles up with "Castle on a Cloud". One thing is for sure, that girl loves music!
