Sisters

One of the things that I was most nervous about with a new baby was how Macey would react to her new little sister and I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised! Although she ignores Avery most of the time, when she is interested in her it is almost always in a good way. She often asks were she is and she likes to sit by her, hold her and give her a binky. On the first morning we were home Dan went in to get Macey out of bed and the first thing she said was "Avery?". We were hoping to get a really cute video moment of when Macey first saw her little sister but it didn't work out :-) Macey had a really hard time transitioning back to our house after spending so much time with her fun Grandma's so she wasn't really happy to see any of us! She did get interested in Avery a little later that afternoon and wanted to sit by her and read a book.
I was excited to get pictures of the girls in their cute sister shirts. I bought Macey's shirt on the day I took my pregnancy test for Avery's IVF cycle but it was before we knew the results...a little positive thinking goes a long way!

And of course Macey loves the new bike that Avery brought her! What a generous baby sister :-)
