Dear Mr. Webster,

The definition of naptime has been changed to include this:
This is a mommy confession :-)
Since about the middle of December Macey has decided to assert her independence and thinks that she doesn't need to nap every day. Well as most mothers of toddlers would agree, I need her to nap everyday! And on the days that she doesn't nap she is super cranky and not much fun after about 3:00. So I have resorted to alternate napping methods, at least now if she absolutely won't go to sleep she and I both get some quite time by sticking her in her crib with a Baby Einstein on the portable DVD player, and to make myself feel better about it I do put in the Lullaby DVD in hopes that she will fall asleep! Hopefully I am not the only mom out there who uses movies to get some much needed time alone, for both me and Macey :-)
By they way, does this kid need a haircut or what? I feel like she is beginning to resemble Nicky and Alex from Full House!

I completely understand & empathize! The only reason I won't put Nick in a big boy bed yet is so he stays confined in his crib! I know it's horrible but that kids doesn't know what's good for him!

Don't feel bad! We have "quiet time" at our house every single day since Blake doesn't nap anymore. Whatever you need to do to keep everybody happy, right?

Without a good movie I would never be able to shower in peace or get ready for the day! We do what we have to do right!?

She'll love Little Einstein's soon. I record them and that's how I get a shower. We're going through that with naps too. Atleast she's still in her crib.... he get's out. I'm trying to do the "quiet time" with books and some toys in his bed. You gotta do, what you gotta do girl! Sanity is key!!!

Whatever it takes to get the important "quiet time" or "mommy time". It's always a sad thing when kids stop taking naps!! Good luck with that one!

it needs to be a bit longer to get that "mushroom perm" look. We all had it as kids (this may date me) Me and my sisters all really thought it was a perm.
At least she can still see right?
