Race for the Cure

The Saturday before Mother's Day Keri and I did the Race for the Cure. I have done it a few times before with my family but they all had other things going on this year so I was glad to have some friends to do it with. It is so amazing to see thousands of people coming together in support of such a great cause! One of my favorite parts of the race is when you get to the turn in the course and all you can see in front of you and behind you is a sea of pink...we tried to get a picture of it but it is way better in person. I also love all of the funny and creative t-shirts people make for the race, some of my favorites were "Save 2nd Base", "These boobs were made for walking", and "Real, Fake, Big, Small, Save them all!".
I also found out during the race that Keri has potential for a second career as a super tough personal trainer! We have been doing a weight loss competition together and at the beginning of the race I told her that I wanted to run as much as I could...well she made sure that I did and although there were a couple of times I wanted to punch her (hee, hee) I did awesome (for me) and felt great when we finished! All in all it was a pretty great day!

We took this picture while walking to try and capture the massive crowd of people. :)

Liz,
That sounds like so much fun... I've only done it once but I would really like to do it again sometime. Looks like you guys had a really great time! Miss you!
