Easter

We had a wonderful Easter...although the picture taking aspect of the holiday suffered a bit. My camera was either lost or out of batteries for a few chunks of the weekend so I apologize in advance that I have no pictures of Macey in her Easter dress, we do have it on the video camera so if you are interested in an Easter movie please stop by :)

Macey had fun counting down to Easter with an egg countdown we made for FHE. We decorated our eggs on Friday night and Macey had a blast! She really got into the white crayon this year and many of our eggs had beautiful designs on them. Their colors turned out slightly odd...mostly because each egg got dunked at least four times. Sadly our Utah egg, which started out red, ended up a bit blue :(

At church on Sunday our Primary sang in Sacrament meeting. We really prepped Macey for what she needed to do but she was a little nervous, I walked her up to the front of the chapel and when she saw her little friends she ran over to them and said "By Mom!"-pretty loud! She didn't sing much but she looked pretty cute :) Unfortunately when we were telling her about going up to sing we forgot to mention that she needed to come back and sit with us after it was over. She followed the other kids of the stage looking lost and Dan had to go get her and she was not happy to sit back down...I think she thought it was time for Primary. Sunday morning after church the girls got to find their eggs and baskets and they were spoiled with some pretty fun stuff from the Easter Bunny. Avery got a little car, a duck toy and a book with lots of soft baby animals to touch. Macey got a Fancy Nancy book, Toy Story dominoes and a doctors kit which has been all the rage at our house ever since!

That night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Miles house for dinner and a fun Easter treasure hunt for the kids.

Avery sat out for the hunt and had her own fun with dad :-)

At the end of the hunt each kid got a beautiful picture of the Savior to hang in their bedrooms and help them remember the true meaning of Easter. What a great end to the festivities!
