Hmmm...

I am not sure what to think about Macey's latest potty development. Sadly, potty training has still not happened at our house. I wanted to wait until after the baby and the move and now I just have no motivation to try other than suggesting that she try to go on the potty once in awhile. I keep hoping she will just wake up one morning and tell me that she is done with diapers (hey, a girl can dream right!). Well today Macey was running around the house playing and after awhile she came to me and told me that she needed a new diaper. She does that once in awhile and she was wearing a dress so at this point I didn't notice anything odd. However, when I layed her down to change her she didn't have a diaper on! I looked around the main floor and I couldn't see the diaper and I started to get a bit nervous, my mind flashed to my friends little boy who takes his poppy diaper off a makes a huge mess :-) I called Dan to come and help me look and he found the diaper (just wet) in the garbage! Either she is ready to be potty trained or changing her diaper just got to be less work for me!

Hmm, I wonder who that friend with the naughty little boy could be?

Sorry that potty training isn't going anywhere for you. I tried a few times with my Hannah & she is so stubborn that she was having none of it. She would pee on the floor when she was mad at me. I quickly realized it was a power struggle & she had the power here.
All of my friends didn't do their kids until 3 1/2 & it was easy. I decided to wait & sure enough it was VERY easy! Around 3 1/2 we talked about it. I had a date set (right after a vacation) and i talked about it for weeks. I told her as soon as we got back it was no more diapers & when we got home I put all but a day or 2's worth of diapers away & told her they were almost gone. She made the switch without any problem.
So I say if you aren't feeling up to it, don't bother yet. We all get potty trained eventually. I've never filled out a job or college application that asked how old I was when I was potty trained.
Give yourself a few more months & let everyone adjust to life with the new baby. You have to decide if you would rather change her diaper or clean up accidents.
