Big Weekend = Long Post!

I hope that everyone had a great Easter weekend! Ours was busy and fun-filled which leads to a long post with major picture overload :-) We started our Easter celebrations on Saturday morning at our house with an attempted egg hunt but Macey just wasn't interested in finding the eggs. She did like all of the fun stuff in her Easter basket though, especially the baby and the bubbles.

What a cutie!
After the morning session of Conference we headed up to Dan's parents condo to spend the weekend with the family. Macey loved playing with all of her cousins, and coloring the fun conference activities that we brought along. I found a super cute "Conference Coloring Book" on sugardoodle.com that had cartoon drawings of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve, it was a big hit! Macey kept saying that we were "watching the Prophet" and that we got the movie "at the library". What a silly girl :) I really enjoyed conference this year and I am glad that I DVR'd the sessions because with Macey it is impossible to catch it all :-) I loved the talk about relationships between mothers and daughters and Dan and I both felt like parenting was a big topic this year. I also got to watch the General Young Women's Conference last weekend and I loved President Uchdorft's talk...I am glad that I can have my own happily ever after!
While the guys went to Priesthood meeting we broke out the egg dye and I am surprised how much Macey liked it! She got pretty messy and dropped most of her eggs at least once (notice the picture of all of the cracked eggs) but she has a ball! She kept putting the same six eggs in the color cups until they were a least all three colors and she would say "pretty" when we pulled them out.

The next morning there was an egg hunt for all of the grandkids. Macey still had no interest in finding the eggs but loved checking out all of the candy that was inside the ones other people found for her :-) I missed Brooke in my "pre-hunt" picture...Macey wasn't quite patient enough to take another!

We ended our weekend with an Easter dinner at my Mom and Dad's. We are so lucky to have so much family around to make the holidays so fun! To top off our great weekend we got two exciting announcements; on Thursday my cousin Presley called to tell us that her and Garrett got engaged and that she is getting baptized! We are so happy for her and hope Garrett is ready for our crazy family :-) Second, at the cabin Lori and Tom announced that they are expecting! She is due in October so our little girl will have another cousin close in age, so fun!
Whew, no wonder I was exhausted after this weekend, just blogging about it made me tired!
