Odds and Ends

It seems like there are always a lot of little things that I mean to blog about but push aside because they don't seem long enough for a whole post or they don't have pictures, etc. But I don't want to forget them so here are some of the Miles families latest odds and ends :-)
  • We took Macey to see her first real movie a few weeks ago (well, to be honest she slept through Hairspray at a month old but that doesn't really count). We saw The Princess and the Frog and she did really well! When we arrived the previews were already going and I think the dark combined with the loudness freaked her out a bit but once we got settled in our seats with some fries she seemed to like it.
  • Macey is loving her Book of Mormon reader lately! We try to read it with her every night before bed and she loves to look through it during the day. When we go downstairs in the morning she often wants it to "come with us". Oddly, once we got to Mosiah's son's becoming missionaries she hasn't wanted to keep reading, she just wants to go back to the beginning.
  • The pregnancy is going well (except for the dreaded gestational diabetes!) and I get to feel the baby moving all the time. However, I think she might have stage fright, whenever Dan tries to feel her she almost always stops! I think he has only felt her move once so far. Although we talk to Macey about a baby sister a lot I don't think she gets it. Right now the names that we like are Avery and Morgan and when you ask Macey what the baby sister's name should be she says "AveryorMorgan" like it is all one word...hopefully she isn't confused when that isn't the name :-)
  • Macey is still loving her Disney princesses and movies, her current favorites are "Beauty Beast" and "Jasmine". She is becoming quite the little thespian and acts out a lot of the movie while she is watching it (and sometimes even when she isn't)!
  • Macey has been sleeping really well in her big girl bed but lately I have been noticing something funny. She often wakes up around 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning and I can hear her "reading" her books in her bed! I don't know how long she is awake for (she almost always goes back to bed on her own) but it really brought a smile to my face the other night when I woke up and heard her saying "jamma jamma jamma jamma, PJ!".

"Now all around the room in one big line....wearing our pajama's and looking so fine!" We love those Sandra Boynton books! Macey sounds just like her mom...a good little reader! I can't believe you have under 100 days left in your pregnancy! I love both those names but put my vote in for Avery! (It sounds cute with Macey!) Good luck!
