Potty Training!!

Well we took the potty training plunge with Avery!  I had been trying to talk myself into doing it for awhile and when she used the potty at Dave and Jolynn's house on Christmas day I figured it was time.  Macey was very excited to be the potty training helper and made Ave a chart and everything!  I was amazed at the difference between potty training my two girls.  The first time I took Avery to the bathroom at Target and she wasn't a bit scared I almost didn't know how to handle it :) 
Avery caught onto the peeing part of potty training pretty fast...the other part was a bit harder!  We had at least two weeks where we were cleaning up a #2 accident everyday.  I really wanted to quit but I knew that I couldn't go back to diapers at that point so we powered through (including powering through a poop-in-the-pants incident at Sweet Tomatoes).  We started picking out special prizes just for pooping in the potty but it still seemed to take forever!  I think she just had to decide she was ready and then it clicked.  We are a little over two months from the first day of potty training and I think we have been totally accident free (during the day) for almost 3 weeks and we are loving it!  Now we just have to break Avery of the habit of wanting us to read her 5 books every time she sits on the potty!
During the potty training Avery also moved to a big girl bed and so we keep telling her what a big girl she is and she always tells us that she is not a big girl but still a baby!  When I ask her when she will be a big girl she always replies "in a half an hour"!  I am happy to keep her as my baby :)
