We had our first lake trip of the summer a couple of weekends ago. Macey and Avery both loved playing in the water and running around with Matt and their cousins. Macey surprised us by being afraid of going fast in the boat and going in the tube, both of which she loved last summer...darn Space Mountain's fault I think :) She did get a little more comfortable on the boat as the day wore on but she only lasted a few seconds in the tube.
Avery loved playing around and eating chips and cookies! She is a pretty good at balancing her plate too!
Dan was only able to come up for a few hours in the afternoon, we were having a shed put up in the morning. Unfortunately he got there right in time for a storm! Avery liked playing peek-a-boo on Daddy's lap as we waited out the rain under the canopy's.
The storm didn't really have an end so we decided to pack up and head for home. We did have a very exciting rescue effort of a girl who fell of her paddle board while we were on our last boat ride of the day. Hopefully it was a good object lesson to all the kids to wear a life jacket!!!
