Can You Talk the Talk?
Last week Macey gave her first talk in Primary and she did an awesome job! Her talk was about the temple. We practiced it quite a few times on Saturday and she would say the first line (I love the temple) without prompting but then always needed me to help her with the rest. Well to my surprise when she got up to the microphone in Primary she did at least the first half all by herself and then only needed a little prompting after that. She thought it was so exciting and wanted to give another talk when we were at church today!Speaking of talking, Macey says so many funny things I can't remember to write them all down, but I have captured a few:-We were reading a Maisy the mouse book and she said "Mom, is that me when I was a little mouse?"-She often tells me that she has the "power" to do things.-She has become a major staler and is always saying "Wait, one more question". This is especially common at bedtime :)-Whenever she is feeling sad or upset she says "I feel excluded" (Thank you Fancy Nancy!)-The other day she told me that Greta is her favorite girl!-She was looking at a picture of Dan and I on our wedding day and she told me an story about how her and Avery were waiting for us in the temple when we got married. I asked her what they were doing there and she said "watching Olivia!"
Avery has been a little slow to enter the talking game and the most common sound out of her mouth is still a giggle! Unfortunately she is picking up on the Drama Queen vibe at our house and has started to scream much more than I would like! She does say Dad, Mom, Macey, kitty, juice (I think) and no-no-no :) Some of her favorite things right now are fruit snacks, cars, anything soft and snugly, anything that Macey is doing and she is a total momma's girl! Her third tooth finally popped out and she is getting her first haircut on Saturday...she is growing up way too fast!!!
