"I'm going on an adventure!"

One of my friends keeps doing blog posts about all of the fun summer adventures that her family is having and it inspired me to be a little more adventurous! Plus, Macey loves a good adventure and while playing often says, "Bye Mom, I'm going on an adventure!" :) So a couple of weekend ago we planned an "train" adventure and rode Trax to the gateway, ate lunch and played in the fountain. To add a little excitement (to Macey) and stress to us, they were having problems with the Trax between 90th & 7200 so we had to switch trains and wait for much longer than we planned...even Macey didn't like the waiting. But she sure loved the train ride! When we got off the first time she told me it was the best ride ever! Avery wasn't as into the train...she is not a fan of anything that requires sitting still! The fountain was really fun, usually Macey doesn't like getting sprayed by water so I didn't know if she would like it (I didn't even bring a swimming suit because of it but I did bring a change of clothes) but she loved it! It was a fun and long day!

We have also had two fun adventures at Jungle Jim's this summer. I bought a Groupon at the beginning of the summer and we went with the Murphys and again with the Nielsen's and the Cromar's. Macey and Avery love it, Macey couldn't really get the hang of the bumper cars but she really likes the really fast spinning ride (although her first time she looked terrified!). Avery HATES the merry-go-round for some reason but liked everything else she rode on...but if they are slow getting the ride started she tried to climb out-SCARY!
