Stay-cation!
In my struggle to catch up on my blog I almost forgot to post about our fun staycation in the middle of June. The forgetting was mostly because our camera died and we got no pictures :( I did get a few on my phone but I don't know how to upload them so just use your imaginations for now!! We decided to take a little stay-cation to Lagoon and it was so much fun! We have rally been wanting to take the girls to Disneyland but we didn't know how they would do (especially Macey) we had never stayed in a hotel before or really done any rides other than carousel's. So this trip was kid of our trial Disney trip :) We left on Thursday after work, got dinner and drove up to our hotel in Layton. For Macey everything was exciting right from the beginning because we got to ride in our "new" truck that we got from Dave and Jolynn. She also thought the hotel was so exciting and slept great! Avery struggled a little with getting to sleep and I think she got a little bored watching Cars in the room, she is so so busy! We went to Lagoon the next morning (note to self-make sure to check the opening time!) and it went great! Macey had a few meltdowns about not wanting to get off rides but once she got the hang of things she loved it. And she was a lot braver on the rides that I expected! She even did the Bombora twice and the Tidal Wave which she said was her favorite but Dan thought she looked terrified the whole time :) Avery loved going on the baby boats with Macey and was pretty content to be pushed around int he stroller, there is a lot of stuff to watch there. The only real struggle at Lagoon (and Cherry Hill) was the public bathroom issue but we got a little creative and things worked out great :)That night Dan and Macey swam at the hotel which was a bit hit too. The next morning after we packed up we met up with Rob & Melissa and family at Cherry Hill. Avery wasn't a fan of the water, it was a but chilly, but she did good playing on the grass. Macey loved the lazy river and the pirate ship and was so excited to play with her cousins. Overall the trip was great and gave us high hopes for Disneyland in the spring (maybe!).

Liz, if you have a memory card with your phone (since we have the same phone) just bring it over here and I'll help you. It's soooo easy! We need to see pictures! :)
What a cute little vacation. I have never thought about going to Lagoon and staying up there overnight.
Liz, how fun!!! We too have been wanting to take Rae to Lagoon and just didn't know if she would like it or not. Glad it was a fun success for you all!!!
