Holli, Kara and I started the trip with a little shopping at the outlets where I made a fool out of myself when I saw the Food Nanny, sometimes you just can't take me anywhere! We had alot of fun at the cabin and got some good game playing in. But the real excitement came the next morning when we were getting ready to leave. It had been snowing lightly for awhile but it didn't seem to bad...until the first group got in the car. The cabin is kinda off the beaten path and you have to take snowmobile's in when the weather is bad. According to the weather report we thought we would be fine with a 4 wheel drive car (we left the other cars in a lot that was about a 20 minute walk away). Well, we were wrong! When we tried to leave in the morning the hill down from the cabin was pure ice! We decided the best plan was to load our stuff in the car with Mike driving/sliding down the road and the rest of us would walk. We bundled Avery up tight and were on our way!

Once we got going it really wasn't too bad. The car slid around a bit but nothing to major. For those of us walking it was a bit cold on our feet, I must have been the clumsiest one because I keep slipping so my butt was a little cold too! Dan was carrying Avery in her car seat and he had a bad fall, mostly because he was carrying her and didn't have his hands to catch himself. So he was a bit sore but Avery stayed asleep through the whole thing! It was definitely an adventure but maybe next time we will go in the summer :-)
