Alot of the words and phrases Macey uses come from her favorite books or movies. She loves Fancy Nancy and uses it often:
- She has started calling her Dad "The Kings Crown". In the books Nancy's family goes to a restaurant called the Kings Crown, but we aren't quite sure how it relates to Dan :-)
- In one of her books Nancy watches the movie National Velvet and the other day guess what movie Macey requested to watch...that's right, National Velvet! (We got it at the library and I don't think it lived up to her expectations).
- She has also started referring to her Grandma's and Grandpa's as "Grandparents" and I am pretty sure it is because Nancy goes on a trip to see her grandparents.
She picks tons of things up from her movies, a recent funny thing occurred at the library a few days ago when she brought me a Tinkerbell book and said "Mom, let's read Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue now on Disney Blue Ray and DVD"!
Her great memory comes in to play alot in her speech, she remembers exactly what specific people say to her and then says it to them later. When my mom comes to the door now Macey answers and says "Hi Grandma, I'm so happy to see you, come on in!" And a few weeks ago Grandpa Miles was here and she sat down next to him and said "Hi sweetheart!"
What a sweetie!
