Become as a Little Child

We had a great conference weekend! I am so grateful to have a living prophet on the earth to lead our church and it is such a blessing to hear counsel from him and the other general authorities. We decided to head up to Dave and Jolynn's condo to have a relaxing weekend (well, as relaxing as it gets with two kids!). Macey had alot of fun playing at the condo, running around outside and going to the park between sessions.

But what really surprised me was how much she loved watching conference! The night before we told the story of King Benjamin addressing his people and how that was like general conference and when we got to the condo we set up our tent to listen just like the people in the Book of Mormon. Macey loved coloring the conference packet and learning the names of the apostles (or President Monson's "helpers") with some cool picture flashcards. She kept talking about the Prophet and King Benjamin and she was sad when the sessions ended. My favorite moment was when after the Sunday morning session she kept singing the piano song that President Monson mentioned in his talk. It was amazing how much she really listened! She was a great example to me of her love for the prophet and her excitement of getting to watch general conference, I could definitely use a little more of that in my life. What a blessing to be taught by our sweet children!
