Star Struck!!

Today Emily, Mallory and I decided to brave the snow and head up to Sundance for our yearly fill of celebrity stalking. When we first got there it didn't seem like much was going on on Main Street and we were worried that the snow was keeping the stars indoors. We wandered around for awhile and even got some "swag" and the Honda tent (free chapstick is a real score!).
On our way back up Mainstreet our luck started to change a little. We ended up seeing four celebrities and while three of them were fairly minor (and you might think that I am a total nerd for recognizing them) the fourth totally made up for it. I will save that story for last (I know the suspense must be killing you!).
Our first sighting happened while we were crossing the street and Connie from the Mighty Ducks walked right past me! I know, nerd alert, but I was super into those movies! I didn't say anything to her because it didn't dawn on me who she was until she was already past but she may have heard me exclaim "hey, that was the girl from the Mighty Ducks!" After doing some IMDB research, it turns out she was in a Sundance movie this year with a title that I don't really want to type onto my blog :-) That's Sundance for you! My other super nerdy sighting was of Christy Carlson Romano who is from the Disney Channel show Even Stevens and the voice of Kim Possible. She was getting her picture taken with someone else (and seemed kind of surprised to be recognized) and I just said "I loved you in Even Stevens!". We also walked past Pauly Shore but only got a picture of the back of his head:
Now onto the main event of the day....meeting Ryan Reynolds!!!!!!
Once again my celebrity eagle eye paid off in this one. We were walking past a jewelry store on Main Street that looked almost empty and I noticed two people in the store were both looking at something so I went back to another window and saw that Ryan Reynolds was going an interview in the store! We tried to take some pictures through the windows but they didn't really turn out and the people inside got mad and stood in front of the windows. By this time a crowd had gathered and we decided that we would try and find the exit of the store and be there when he came out. Luckily I guess nobody else was as smart as us because when we found the doors we were the only ones standing there. We pretended the busy ourselves with a rack of brochures so the store people wouldn't get mad while we waited. After about five minutes he came out but he didn't really look at us and walked to a small press room a few feet away. We were standing there trying to sneak a picture of him without being too obnoxious when he looked at us and said "Hey, do you guys want to come over here and get a picture"! Talk about a nice celebrity! While we were giving our camera's to people I said something like sorry this is taking so long and he said "No problem, we can just stand here and hold each other all day!" and for the record, he is definitely just as good looking in person! I just kept thanking him, I still can't believe he was so gracious to fans! It was definitely a great day!!!!

I bet he smelled good too! If I had the good fortune of running into him we would owe me a pic too since I had to walk the aisles with Jack the entire showing of the Proposal! How fun! :)
