A few weeks ago Avery celebrated her 3rd birthday...but if you ask her she will tell you she turned 100! We are not sure where she picked it up but almost every quantitative questions you ask her she will answer 100, and anything time relates is "in half an hour". We had some fun party plans with our family and friends for Avery's birthday but Macey came down with a NASTY case of strep throat that week so things were a bit low key, Avery didn't mind as long as there were presents!! My mom came over in the afternoon and brought Avery a beach towel, some Stompeez (one of the only things she asked for), a cute piano book and a couple of other things.
Avery choose Spiderman plates and transportation cupcakes...she is a girl of diverse interests :) When we celebrated her birthday with the Miles family she got a pair of princess shoes and a ninja turtle toy, in the same package. I guess she is well rounded!
Grandma and Grandpa Miles got Ave her own scooter so we gave her a helmet so she can be just like Macey!
We were able to reschedule our birthday plans with the Williams and the Murphys once Macey was better and Avery loved the chance to play with her friends, get more presents, and have more cupcakes! Can you guess what color forsting she choose?
Around the time of her birthday Avery's terrible two...and three side came out a bit. She can throw one mean tantrum!! But she also loves to snuggle, lately whenever we ask her for a kiss she says, "No, a kiss and a hug!". Who can turn down an offer like that? She still loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and will watch an episode over and over if we let her. She loves playing with her Princess Castle, her babies and her Minnie and Mickey figures. She usually wants to do whatever Macey is doing and is looking forward to next year when she can start school and dance. When she woke up on her birthday and I told her Happy Birthday she replied "now I can go to preschool!". She is a smart little girl and talks up a storm, she uses the word "actually" all of the time, and correctly too! She is also very concerned that we understand when she is pretending, "Mommy, I am just pretending to be a cat"...we are always glad for that reality check :) The other day while watching a Mickey episode she told me that Pete liked the clubhouse, I asked her if she liked the clubhouse too and she said "I am not on this show, remember!!".
Avery continues to be tall and skinny, some days it seems like the only thing she "eats" is chocolate milk! At her well check she weighed 29 lbs. and was 37.8 inches tall. That puts her about 35% for weight and 70% for height.
Happy Birthday Avery May!!!
