Getting Into The Spirit

As the girls are getting older the holidays are becoming so much fun! We have had a lot of fun with our Christmas traditions and activities this year :) Both Macey and Avery are loving the advent calendar and Christmas book countdown, although I think Avery just likes the wrapping paper! So far Macey's favorite books have been the light-up Silent Night, The Polar Express and Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Christmas! We have also made hot cocoa (Macey and Avery's first time), Aunt Kara would be proud:

We have had some fun Christmas Family Home Evening lessons.

And this year we have added a new Christmas tradition, the Elf on the Shelf! Macey named him Cat Elf and the girls love looking for him in the morning. Avery has become especially attached to the Elf and waves to him all day! They both also love the Elf on the Shelf TV special and have watched it A LOT! Almost every time we turn on the TV Avery Says "Elf Show!" and when she is watching it and a commercial comes on she says "More Elf!".

Hopefully Cat Elf gives Santa a good report on our family :)
