Last Saturday my sweet Grandma Saunders passed away. She was an amazing woman and led a long (92 years!) and wonderful life. When I think of my grandma I often think of books, she was a proponent of learning and education and often gave me books for gifts that I loved! She continued that tradition with my girls and they loved it too! One of the books Grandma gave me when I was a little girl, Angelina on Stage, is now one of Macey's favorites. what a great way to pass on a love of learning! My grandma was a great example to me of taking good care of yourself, she lived with type 1 diabetes for a good portion of her life and was always very healthy! Some other things I will always remember about my grandma is how much I loved the salads that she made for dinner, playing "hide the coaster" when she tended me, laying on the sheepskin blanket at her house and playing games like trivial pursuit and skip-bo while eating the "lucky nuts". I am so grateful that she was able to know both of my girls and I know they loved her! We will definitely miss her very much but I am so grateful to know that we will be together again.
At Macey's blessing
