On Saturday we had our first water skiing trip of the summer and it was a blast! I was a little nervous about how the girls would do, last year Macey liked playing in the water and sand but didn't want anything to do with the boat and didn't love wearing her lifejacket. What a difference a year can make! Sweet little Avery spent most of the day snoozing away.
Macey LOVED every minute of being at the lake and she even wore her "special jacket" happily. She got in the water first thing and spent most of her day there or in the boat which she loved too!
The kids (with help from Matt and Kara) built an awesome water system on the beach.
And there were some amazing kites being flown across the cove from our beach.
Macey really surprised me with her bravery, usually she is nervous to try new things but she didn't even hesitate to get in the boat and she even tried getting the water with me after I wakeboarded. The freezing water got her back in the boat really fast :-) Her most courageous part of the day was riding the tube with Daddy! What a big girl! They did have a little mishap and fell of at one point but she didn't even cry, she just asked to "get back in the big boat".
If you are trying to figure out our blog's address, here is the story...When Macey was born we started calling her Macey Moo (which worked out well since my childhood nickname was Lizeroo). Her room is farm decor so we even made her a cow shelf. A few months ago we were talking to Dan's nephew Trevor about last names and he told us that our last name was Moo, as in Dan, Liz and Macey Moo!

How fun! I love boating! That's great that Macey is so brave and I'm jealous your baby just slept through the whole thing! What a sweetheart!
