We were in charge of bringing the cake and ice cream to Dave and Jolynn's for the February birthdays. We often volunteer for the cake because the girls love the help with the mixing and decorating. This time however, things went wrong....
In hindsight the cake was too warm when we started to frost it :) It still tasted good and it definitely gave us a good laugh! But my favorite part of the story came about a week later. Macey wanted to make homemade ice cream sandwiches using graham crackers and ice cream. We were talking about it at bedtime and I told her we could make them the next day. When she was saying her prayers that night she asked that "the ice cream sandwiches will turn out better than the cake we made"!

That's too funny! I hope you still took it because it probably tasted super yummy even though it didn't look to great! :) There is a commercial about that, maybe next time you could use that new cool whip frosting?
The cake tasted GREAT! It just added to birthday memories!
