Christmas Eve

This year we decided to have the kids open their presents from us on Christmas Eve to try to cut down on the stress of Christmas day and it was really great! I gave the girls more time to play with their toys and we didn't feel so rushed to hurry and get things open before having to go to the next place.

Macey has been really into taking pictures lately and this is one of her masterpieces...

Later in the afternoon we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Miles house to hang out and eat some delicious soup and then we headed to Grandma Glory's for our pizza dinner. This year for our Santa gifts at Grandma's everyone got really funny t-shirts. Some of my favorites were Stacy's: Sometimes I laugh so hard tears run down my leg. Darren's: In dog beers I've only had one. Parkers: That's the way I roll (with a picture of sushi) and Macey's: My dad answers to me! And of course the "Mom likes ME best" shirt that my mom, Linda and Sure all got. It was a really fun night!

When we got home we set out some cookies and chocolate milk for Santa and settled in for a long winters nap :)
