Today was Macey's first day of Preschool! I was a little nervous about how things were going to go. We went to an open house last week to see her classroom and meet her teacher, Miss Ashley, and it was a bit of a struggle. Macey cried most of the time and didn't want anything to do with the teacher or the class aides. We tried to prepare her the best we could, we got a neat book from the library about school and let her pick out a new backpack (which is almost as big as she is!) and it must have paid off because today went GREAT!! I was so surprised, and impressed, with how well Macey did! She said hi to the teachers and other kids and walked into the classroom like a pro. I was the one feeling a little weepy as I stood in the hall and watched her through the window :-) The only rough spot was when I went to pick her up and she got upset because she wanted to ride the bus home. I knew that busing was an option but I didn't think she would want to ride...I guess I was wrong! So we put in a bus request and sometime next week my little girl will be riding the bus home from school. I will still be taking her, I am not ready to let go so fast!Hooray Macey! We are so proud of you!!!

yay macey! that is so awesome! i am really nervous for kaydence to start in a couple weeks but it makes me feel better to hear from other nervous moms.

Hip hip hooray for Macey! Lizzy you'll get over being sad soon and love your alone time! :) I still walk by your house almost everyday. Let me know when you want to join me! :)
Wow! I wish Cooper could take the bus home. That's so fun for her. He starts next week, hopefully it'll go as good for him.
