Hooray! After almost five months of being unemployed Dan is back at work today!! We are so excited, and relieved...now I just have to remember how to be a stay at home mom by myself again :-) Having Dan around to help has definitely spoiled me!
Dan is back at Infopia (where he worked before the layoff). He has been doing contract work for them since May and this week the controller there took another job offer so they called Dan and offered him a new job. It will definitely be nice not to have to figure out a new insurance plan and learn a new office phone number and stuff. The companies future is a little shaky due to some financial problems (hence the big layoff in May) but at this point anything is a blessing, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that the economy will straighten out and the company will become more stable.
Thanks for everyone's thoughts, ideas on jobs and everything! This has been a tough time but it has brought our family humility and strength.

So excited for you guys. Shawn went through 2 different lay offs a few years back. The first one happened 6 months after buying our first house. NOT good timing. The second happened 2 months after Austin was born. NOT good timing. But it sure made me appreciate any kind of job.
Yay!!! Way to go Dan. Liz I am sure you will figure things out without him hahaha you always come up with the funnest ideas!!!
