In celebration of Macey's 6th birthday, our family got a little larger...meet Grace the hamster!
Macey has been asking for a hamster for a long time so we decided to take the plunge. On her birthday we took her to meet Dan for lunch by his work and after we finished eating we surprised Macey with a hamster cage and a trip to the pet store to pick out her hamster. Needless to say, she was very excited!! She immediately honed in on the dwarf hamsters (I was really wanting a larger one) and had the name Grace all ready. Grace is very cute and it is a lot of fun to watch her run in her ball or her wheel, but she is not a very friendly pet! She has bitten everyone but Avery and I almost has a heart attack when she got loose in the living room! After the first few biting incidents we gave Macey the choice of taking her back to the pet store and trading her for a larger hamster who likes to be held but Mace held firm in keeping Grace as a pet we just watch and don't touch!. :)
Macey's gifts from us were all hamster related which made for an easy shopping trip.
A few days later Macey had a Monster's Inc. birthday party with her friends. It was a lot of fun...and really hot!! We made monster masks, played pin the eye on Mike and Duck, Duck, Boo, and had a pinata. As a special bonus Stockton was in town to join the party too!
