Back to School!!



Kindergarten!!! 

I can't believe it is here...and I can't believe how well it is going!  Macey is loving it!  Her teacher is Mrs. Christensen as she has some friends in her class which has really helped her get excited.  Aileen from her first year of preschool and her friend from the neighborhood Stockton, a.k.a. Stocko!  Macey has been so excited about Stockton being in her class, she talks about it all the time.  When my family asked her about him she said "He looks like a prince, only littler"! 

We were able to visit the school a few times before the year started the check things out (things meaning the bathroom!) and that seemed to cut down on a lot of Macey's anxiety.  She did have a major meltdown the night before school but when it was time for her to really go she seemed excited and had no tears!!  I was another story :)  Why is it so hard to see your kids grownup?

We are about a week and a half into school now and it is still going well, she still asks "What if I don't like school today" almost everyday but when I pick her up she is all smiles and says school is awesome!!  I was able to volunteer in her class yesterday and I had a great time.  I have also been really impressed with the speech therapist and the school psychologist and the school, I think they will be be a big help to Mace. 

I feel like this post has so many "greats" in it...We are just so glad, and relieved, that this is going so well for Macey.  Hooray for kindergarten!!!

I was excited to finally do a project that I pinned!  I made a magnet board for all of Macey's school stuff.

Macey and Stockton all lined up.  Stockton was so excited her couldn't stop jumping up and down!
