St. George

For my birthday present I told Dan that I wanted our bedroom painted but that I didn't want to do any of the work :-) So last week my mom and I took the girls for a long St. George weekend. We had a really great time and it was so nice to be able to focus on spending time with Macey and Avery without the distractions of cleaning, laundry, facebook etc. :) Avery struggled a little with the drive and I think she gets a little nervous every time we get in the car now that the ride is going to last for hours. We spent alot of time on the back porch blowing bubbles and drawing with sidewalk chalk.

We went swimming at a really fun indoor pool with a great water slide. Macey was a bit scared of it a first and kept wanting to climb the stairs just to look. After a few times I decided to just pick her up and make her go with me, she was a little scared at first but once we hit the water she was hooked and spent the rest of the time there. Avery took a minute to decide she liked swimming but warmed up pretty quick too. We also went to a fun park and Macey and Avery loved the slides!

Saturday afternoon we decided to check out a fun water area by the St. George Tabernacle. I didn't get any good pictures but Macey had a blast...and yes I was a slacker mom and didn't have her swimsuit with us. :) Saturday night the Bauman's came down for the night. It was great seeing them and the girls loved having all of Shay and Shaun's attention. Macey especially loved rolling down the hill and having a movie night with Shaunie!

We had a great time and it was fun spending time with Linda, Gary and the Bauman's. Dan also did an awesome job on the bedroom (post to come!). What a fun late birthday!
