The Silver Lining

The silver lining to the job-loss black cloud is definitely having Dan around to do fun things with Macey and I during the week. (Another silver lining-getting to sleep in some days!) Today we decided to take advantage of our time together and head to the zoo! It was Macey's first time there and she seemed to really enjoy it. She only had two small meltdowns (lunchtime and time to go home) and she was really fun the rest of the time! The zoo has changed alot since my last trip, I really like the new Elephant Encounters and Asian Highlands areas, but I was sad that they don't have polar bears or lions anymore (maybe we just missed them?).

Macey really liked the bears, one of them kept walking in and out of his little cave and we told her that he was playing hide and seek!

Am I am mean wife to make Dan pose for these pictures? :-)

I think this little fox was Macey's favorite! He was in the reptiles and small animals building which she loved because she could get closer to the animals. She was so cute laughing at him and running around :-)

Our attempt to take a picture of ourselves on the train. This was Macey's first train ride and she seemed to really like it, I now have high hopes for rides at Disneyland!

Macey really liked this snake slide but she wouldn't go down it alone. She is a little bit afraid of the slides that are closed in.
