We decided to head down south for a few days of Macey's spring break. I love that St. George is fairly close to home and that we have a great (free) place to stay but it still feels like a great vacation. We also got to spend time with Grandma and Juddy (who Macey is still scared off), Steph and Shaun and Linda and Gary. When we got home Avery was looking at a SpongeBob book and saw a picture of his pet snail Gary and said "Aww, just like my Gary!". He must have made a good impression :) We had a lot of fun swimming, playing and enjoying the sunshine. We went to Fiesta Fun for some mini-golf, bumper boats and the arcade. The girls had a lot of fun with the golfing, and I was really glad it wasn't crowded because Macey's style of hit and run put her a few holes ahead of us at all times. She kept calling each hole a "new level". Avery liked to hit it once and then pick it up and carry it to the hole :)
The arcade was a huge hut, especially when we went back a second time with Shaun and she showed us the games that gave a lot of tickets. Of course the girls loved the prizes at the ticket counter! You might be wondering why Macey is wearing a winter vest when it is no nice and sunny...according to her it was not the vest making her hot it was the sun! I could not get her to take it off, even on our long (and somewhat badly picked bike ride-thank goodness Linda picked us up!).
We spent some time at the St. George Temple and Visitors Center. Macey really loved the statue of Christ and when we first sat down to look at it she said "He seems really familiar". After we listened to the presentation she told me that she felt the Holy Ghost! What a sweet girl!
On our last night Shaun came down and watched the girls while Dan and I went out to dinner. We went to a steak and game house and Dan bravely tried Buffalo and Elk, we had a fun night courtesy of Grandma and came back to have parfaits with the girls! Shaun slept over and we dropped her off in Cedar on our way home the next day. I wish I would have gotten a picture of Shaun, Macey and Avery sleeping on the bed in the flex room, they looked so cute!
What a great Spring Break!

I was wondering about the faux fur vest before you mentioned it! That's too funny! Sounds like a great Spring Break! Love St. George getaways! :)
