The Wheels on the Bus

Well, Macey is a couple of weeks into school now and is loving it! She often wants to put on her "pack-pack" and show it to Miss Ashley. But perhaps her favorite thing about school is...riding the bus! I can't believe my little three year old is riding the school bus! When we signed Macey up for the preschool they told us that she could ride the bus, it would pick her up and drop her off right at our house. Well, being the nervous mom that I am I said "no thanks" to the busing idea thinking Macey would be scared of doing it on her own anyways. Boy was I wrong! On the first day of school we had a major tantrum when I picked Macey up and she saw that other kids were getting on the school bus and she wasn't. I told her that we would see if she could ride the bus another day thinking that she would forget about it and I would just not park near the buses from then on. Well, I was wrong again! All she could talk about was riding the bus :-) So I called the transportation department and now we have a little bus rider! I wasn't able to let go all the way, so I still drop her off and she rides the bus home. I don't have any pictures yet because when I took my camera out with me the first day of the bus (after I had covertly driven to school to see her get on and then followed the bus home!) she was crying because she didn't want to get off of the bus and I figured that wasn't a very good photo op! But here are some pictures after her second day at school:

Her outfit has a bit of paint on it because one of her favorite centers at school is the Art Center! She loves hanging up her projects for her dad to see when he gets home from work.
